Braelinn Golf Club

Braelinn is a wonderful collaboration from architects Joe Lee and Rocky Roquemore. The course opened in 1988 and is an 18-hole facility that acts as an extension for the Flat Creek membership.Braelinn features a double-sided driving range with both mat and grass hitting areas, targets, and premium range balls, as well as a short game practice area. The club recently completed a large renovation to its club house and now offers a fully stocked pro shop, member locker rooms, a full restaurant, and large patio dining and outdoor fireplace with large flat screen tv's.

Canongate at Flat Creek Golf Club

Flat Creek Country Club is a 27-hole facility located in Peachtree City. Joe Lee designed the course, which opened in 1968. Flat Creek has a spectacular clubhouse and features a large, double-sided driving range with both mat and grass hitting areas, targets, and premium range balls, as well as a short game practice area. The clubhouse recently underwent a $2.5 million renovation, including a new, separate pro shop building.Flat Creek's courses are a fair test for all golfers from beginner to seasoned professional. The 3 nines:
  • Homestead 3380 yards, slope 129, rating 36 from the gold tees
  • Old Mill: 3337 yards, slope 129, rating 35.8 from the gold tees
  • Graveyard: 3351 yards., slope 135, rating 36.4 from gold tees
All three nines require the golfer to be accurate off the tee as many of the holes are tree lined on each side of the fairway. Approach shots require the golfer to be precise with distance control and ball placement. The greens are well bunkered and many are raised above the fairways with slopes running away from the center. Bent grass greens offer the golfer a very true putting surface.

Planterra Ridge is another extension of the Peachtree City cluster of courses, along with Braelinn and Flat Creek. An 18-hole facility designed by Rocky Roquemore and Jeff Burton in 1994, Planterra Ridge is a beautiful golf course with many scenic holes to its credit.Planterra features a large, double-sided driving range with both mat and grass hitting areas, targets, and premium range balls, as well as a short game practice area. The Planterra Ridge clubhouse sits high above the course, offering views of the finishing holes and practice green. The recently re-decorated interior includes a Pro Shop, restaurant, and locker rooms.Planterra Ridge's great condition, impeccable services, and premier amenities come together in a golf experience certain to entertain players of all ages and abilities. With wide tree lined fairways, large undulating greens with Water coming into play on seven holes provide a great golfing experience. Don't let the front nine fool you, because once on the back you'll feel as if you're in the mountains.

In 1972 a tradition began with the establishment of a beautiful private club located in Macon. It was created with top quality facilities for its members' enjoyment. Healy Point provides its members and their guests the atmosphere and personal attention that can only be found in the finest private clubs.

The Eagle's Bar and Grille is open six days a week for breakfast, lunch, or refreshment after a round of golf.Designed by Gary Player in 1972, Healy Point is the only Gary Player design in the Middle Georgia area. Healy Point is not overly long, playing just over 6200 yards from the member's tees and 6700 from the back tees. The course requires a player to be accurate off the tee and with approach shots. With rolling undulation of the land provides some of the best views in Middle Georgia and having no parallel holes, golfers will feel like they have the course to themselves. The facilities also include a driving range, two putting and chipping greens and golf pro shop.

Canongate Heron Bay Golf Club

This spectacular club opened in October 2004 and has the potential to mature into one of the best courses in Atlanta. Golfers are sure to enjoy the tree-lined fairways and fantastic views of the beautiful Cole Reservoir. Reaching 7,300 yards from the back tees, it is the longest in the Canongate family.

Heron Bay features a beautiful 18-hole, par-72 Championship Golf Course stretching out to over 7,300 yards from the back tees. Carefully designed and crafted by acclaimed architect Jeff Burton, the course blends perfectly with the community's natural surroundings and features state-of-the-art Tif Sport Bermuda fairways and bentgrass greens. Numerous golf holes have lake features. The third and thirteenth greens are both adjacent to Henry County's 1,100-acre Cole Reservoir, providing golfers with spectacular views.

Golfers will enjoy a beautiful clubhouse with a fully-stocked Pro Shop and dining facility, as well as an adjacent driving range and practice green.

Heron Bay is closed on Mondays.

Mirror Lake is a Rocky Roquemore and Jeff Burton creation that opened in 1999. Mirror Lake is a 36-hole golf club featuring the Lake Course and the Mountain Course. Mirror Lake features a double-sided driving range with both mat and grass hitting areas, targets, and premium range balls, as well as a short game practice area.The Mountain Course is much hillier than the Lake Course.
  • Golfers will be treated to many downhill tee-shots and a few memorable uphill challenges as well.
  • Mirror Lake does come into play four holes, most notably on holes nine and eighteen.
  • Both are long narrow par fours, with the lake down the left side from tee to green, and on 18 there is a forced carry of about 100 yards into the green.
  • Considered by most to be the more challenging of the two courses, especially the front nine that has some very narrow fairways, and some of the most undulating greens
  • Back nine is a lot more forgiving off of the tee, but plays long with several uphill shots into the greens

From the time you enter River Forest and get the first glance of the course at number two, you will get a feel for what is in store. The private 18-hole championship golf course opened in October of 2004, and the final design wascreated by Director of Golf Course Maintenance Gary Wilder and Master Shaper Ernest Jones. The course is sure to be a challenging and enjoyable experience for any golfer.

The 14,000 sq. ft. clubhouse offers a fully stocked Pro Shop, as well as beautiful locker rooms for the members. The back patio provides a spectacular view of the eighteenth green to enjoy while dining or relaxing after a round. The dining room is perfect for gatherings or casual meals by the fireplace.Canongate River Forest golf course was voted among the Top 20 New Private Facilities in the United States in 2005. Well-kept bent-grass greens and Tif Sport Bermuda fairways, give this undulating course a friendly yet challenging opportunity for any golfer. River Forest is a must to play for all golfers, and once they do they will want to come back again and again. The course design cleverly includes natural elements such as granite formations deriving from the Stone Mountain rock system spreading through Georgia.

Gary Stephenson designed this 18 hole golf course, surrounded by the Sun City Peachtree development by Del Webb, which showcases large bent grass greens, generous fairways and beautiful vistas. Sun City just opened its brand new clubhouse with a fully stocked pro shop, meeting rooms, member locker rooms, a full restaurant, bar, and patio overlooking the driving range and practice areas.

This 18 - Hole Championship Golf Course is focused on playability and provides a truly enjoyable golf experience. The layout features elevated tees with generous landing areas willing to accept the occasional errant drive. Undulating bent grass greens complexes provide a superior putting surface. With five tee placements, Sun City Peachtree offers a unique and fun round for varying skill levels. Chapel Hills is a wonderful golf course that opened in 1992 and was designed by Rocky Roquemore and Jeff Burton. A difficult course to design, Chapel Hills winds through valleys and over steep hills with granite outcroppings. As are all Roquemore/Burton designs, it is a challenging and fun course to play.Chapel Hills features a double-sided driving range with both mat and grass hitting areas, targets, and premium range balls, as well as a short game practice area. The Chapel Hills clubhouse sits high above the course, offering spectacular views of the finishing holes and practice putting green. The recently re-decorated interior includes a Pro Shop, restaurant, and locker rooms.Chapel Hills is a relatively short course, but the severe undulating greens make it a superb test to golfers of all levels of play. Even with wide spacious fairways accuracy of the tee is a must because of the deep Bermuda rough in the summer and fall. Chapel Hills features a unique double green on holes #9 and #18. The pars threes are the most difficult holes on the golf courseand Water comes into play on 10 of the holes whether it be a creek or a lake. The Par 5's are risk reward, whether guarded by bunkers or water.

Mirror Lake Golf Club features a double-sided driving range with both mat and grass hitting areas, targets, and premium range balls, as well as a short game practice area.The Lake Course, as its name might imply, brings the beauty of Mirror Lake into play on seven of the 18 holes, including the two finishing holes, a long par five and a long par four, which both play along the lake from tee to green.
  • There are more than 50 large bunkers, a signature feature of course designer
  • Crenshaw Bent grass greens are very large, fast, and undulated, which puts a premium on approach shot placement.
  • Wide fairways wind through the hardwoods and pines for most of the frontnine, and then become more open for the back nine, with very little elevation change.

The Chateau Course at Chateau Elan

This beautiful championship course with contoured fairways, thick Bermuda roughs, and strategically placed lakes and ponds opened in July 1989. Built on 170 acres of the finest terrain, the 7,030 yard layout of the Chateau Course, designed by Denis Griffiths, plays to a par 71. Winding along three lakes and two creeks, water comes into play on ten of the eighteen holes while 87 bunkers give definition and character to the course.

    This is a wonderful resort course with excellent range facilities. You'll need to hit shots accurately or you'll end up in trouble. The greens are large and undulating.

The Woodlands, also designed by Griffiths opened in 1996. Many consider this course to be the most picturesque of the three championship layouts. The stunning 6,735 yard, par 72 course has numerous elevations presenting memorable views of sparkling lakes and tree-lined holes to give players a blissful feeling of solitude.

Situated amidst a beautiful natural setting in the scenic foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, the course at Eagle Watch has the kind of character and power one would expect from its designer, Arnold Palmer. With fairways surrounded by wooded hills, and ponds and creeks adding challenge and interest to the layout, this club will almost certainly bring out the best golf in every player.

Eagle Watch's 8,500 square foot clubhouse is reminiscent of a turn-of-the-century lodge. The facility includes a fully stocked Pro Shop, three dining rooms, men's and women's changing rooms, and a spacious lobby that serves as a tribute to Arnold Palmer.

The Players Lounge on the lower level will provide a wonderful dining experience and is ideal for a post-outing or tournament gathering.Golfers of all skill levels will find a set of tees that they can find to be as enjoyable or as challenging as they want. The 6900 yard Championship layout puts a high premium on finding the fairway with your tee shot rather than in the Tree lined landing areas, creeks and well placed fairway bunkers. Yet once you find the short grass you must still navigate trouble to reach the putting surfaces. There is water in play on 13 of the 18 holes and the greenside bunkers make an accurate approach shot desirable. This is a course that can be enjoyed by low handicap players as well as the beginning golfer.Eagle Watch has hosted GSGA and Georgia PGA events through the years yet it continues to be among the favorites of many Canongate members

The beautiful clubhouse features a gorgeous covered veranda with fabulous golf course views. The practice Center at Hamilton Mill offers over 7,000 square feet of practice bent grass putting greens, a 10-acre practice tee and landing area, and a short game practice area featuring 2,000 square feet of bent grass chipping green, sand bunkers, and a "fairway" that accommodates shots from up to 60 yards away!

Olde Atlanta offers a complete range of practice facilities. The three-tiered grass driving range provides golf course-like conditions. The two putting greens are surfaced with bent grass just like the on-course greens. The 60 yard chipping and pitching area and the practice sand bunker complete the practice facilities. Just outside the quaint small town of Braselton, Traditions showcases a rolling, tree lined countryside that has been skillfully molded into a championship caliber layout reminiscent of a traditional northeast links course. The course is designed by Mike Dasher, an Arthur Hills protege with other Atlanta projects such as Golf Club of Georgia and The Standard Club to his credit. The tees, fairways and roughs feature Bermuda grass, with putting surfaces showcasing Bent grass.

The bar and grill provides an enjoyable indoor or comfortable outside dining experience. Adjacent to the Golf Shop, it is a great escape before or after a round of golf to enjoy a meal or beverage while settling up with your golf group. The natural surroundings at The Traditions of Braselton Golf Club are an excellent backdrop. Traditions of Braselton offers a fully stocked golf pro shop.

Windermere Golf Club was masterfully designed by PGA champion, Davis Love, III, and the course opened in June 2000 to rave reviews. Love created a design that is challenging, playable, scenic, and in harmony with its surroundings. The course rolls through the Piedmont Plateau and offers stunning views.

Windermere's elegantly decorated 10,000 square foot clubhouse where you will enjoy a full-service lunch in the Plateau Grille which features a spectacular view of the Piedmont Plateau.
