  Originally designed by noted architect Dick Wilson, the Blue Monster has been modified and updated over the past 20 years to meet the demands of the PGA TOUR by two-time Doral champion and Hall-of-Famer Raymond Floyd and world-Renowned golf instructor Jim McLean. Most recently the greens and bunkers were modernized under the watchful eye of the PGA Tour for the WGC-CA Championship, whose inaugural event at Doral Golf & Spa was played in 2007.

  A Greg Norman Signature Course, the 7,171-yard, par-72 Great White Course is the only golf course of its kind in the Southeastern United States that utilizes coquina "crushed shells" as the primary design element on every hole. Host to the PGA TOUR's Franklin Templeton "Shoot-Out" in 2000, the Great White was rated as the best new golf course of 2000 by the National Golf Foundation.

  The Jim McLean Signature Course joined the infamous Blue Monster and the Great White as the third of Doral's premier courses. It is unique among courses in the Southeast because it presents a variety of challenges that include three of the toughest starting holes in golf, a series of phenomenal par 3s, and "The Bermuda Triangle" of the 13th through 15th holes. Five sets of tees let golfers from novices to champions decide how difficult they want the course to be, but no matter where they start, they'll have earned a real sense of accomplishment every time they finish

  PGA Tour legend Raymond Floyd recently redesigned this course to follow a traditional Florida layout, incorporating gently contoured greens, strategic bunkering and water surrounding 16 holes. The course features narrow, tree-lined fairways and finishes with a dramatic par-4 island green on the 18th hole. This course hosted the 1999 PGA Qualifying School finals.
• THE RED COURSE YARDAGE: 6058 | SLOPE / RATING: 69.9 / 118
  The Red Course forces golfers to use strategy and shot placement, rather than driving for show. Featuring 14 water holes with fairways winding around several lakes, the course provides breath-taking beauty and exhilarating challenges, without intimidating length. Alabama's Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail

Southern Golf Tours Golf Package Specialist will assist you in planning your Alabama Golf Package to Alabama's Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail. The Trail is the largest golf course construction project ever attempted. Alabama Golf Vacations to the Trail, as the New York Times calls it "...some of the best public golf on Earth." The RTJ Trail features Alabama Golf Courses from Huntsville and Muscle Shoals in North Alabama to Mobile and Point Clear in South Alabama the RTJ Golf Trail offers a collection of 468 holes of championship golf on 11 different sites.

One of the most unique aspects of the Trail are the tee locations. The tee markers on the Trail are pegged to ability level, not age or gender. The courses were designed to measure as short as 4,700 yards and as long as about 7,700 yards from the tournament tees, with as many as 12 tee boxes in-between. The courses offer a tremendous amount of flexibility. As one Director of Golf put it, "The Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail is an incredible golfing experience for everyone. The courses will challenge the best golfers in the world, yet at the same time allow an enjoyable outing for the casual to beginning golfer."
