    The 2011 US Masters Golf Tournament will as per tradition tee off in the first week of April. The year's opening major is scheduled for 7th - 10th of April at the Augusta National Golf Club Course in Georgia.

    The excitement is palpable, the course in magnificent condition and the top golfers have been polishing their talents before the next confrontation at US Masters Augusta National Golf Course.

    Defending champion and surprise winner of the 2010 US Masters, Phil Mickelson will be playing for his 3rd title at the event.
    The 2009 US Masters winner Angel Cabrera became the first Argentinean player to with the event will try for his 2nd Green Jacket.  World number one and the 2007 US Masters champion, Tiger Woods, will surely be taking a swing at the title again after he lost narrowly to Trevor Immelman at the 2008 Masters Tournament by three strokes, despite Immelman running up a double bogey score on the decisive 70th hole.

    Vijay Singh, Sergio Garcia, Retief Goosen and Padraig Harrington are all also in contention to see their names at the top of the 2011 US Masters leaderboard.

    Past Masters winners include a glittering array of golfing greats: Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Jimmy Demaret, Sam Snead, Ben Hogan, Gary Player, Nick Faldo, Seve Ballesteros, Jose Maria Olazabal and Tiger Woods.
